Thanks But No Thanks

Finish the Sentence Friday

"I have absolutely no interest in..."

I have no interest in a great deal of things, but the first thing that came to mind when I read this prompt was sky diving.  I mean, I love to watch videos of others doing it...they look so excited and so "free."  But the thought of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, and relying on a large piece of cloth to get me safely to the ground?  No thank you!  I'd much rather keep both feet firmly on solid ground, and just use airplanes as a means of transportation from one place to another.

  2. Years ago when I was much more adventurous, I used to want to do this, but as I got older I finally realized - those people were not "flying", they were falling, with all the force of gravity hitting them in the face.., errruhhhmmmh, no thanks, not me. I will wait til I can actually fly - - - going up only. It still looks like flying though and fun.

  8. I did it a few Octobers ago. I am TERRIFIED of heights but at that time, it was important to me to 'overcome' it. I went with my Dad and my brother for my Dad's 60th bday. I think it was more terrifying watching my Dad fling himself out of the plane before me! Not sure I would do it again, but am glad to say that I have done it.
