C Is For Compassionate

Compassion is defined as sympathy for the suffering of others, often including a desire to help.  Compassionate is a word that has often been used to describe me throughout my life. My heart always goes out to people who are suffering, even those I may not know but only hear about through news stories. Those closer to home, I always find a way to reach out and let them know I care. I'm one of those people who is willing to sit and listen to others talk, to cry with them, to share my experiences when appropriate, or just give them a hug to let them know I care. So, if you ever need a friend.....here I am!   :)

  1. thanks for visiting me today--I am returning the favor! I love your theme--very uplifting. I also noticed you are doing the 10 Thankful things--I just started that; a good "filler" for a Sunday post! Compassion is a Christlike virtue I just happened to read about this morning in the scriptures, as he blessed the children and healed the sick. You are a "follower" in the true sense of the word! 1. I've been jokingly called "Mother Teresa" for most of my life...especially after I had children. But I could never hold a candle to her!!!

  3. You must be a delight to share a cup of coffee or tea with. Compassion is such a precious gem these days. So when we find it, we should hold on to it and nurture it.

  5. Beautiful quote. In this life when being busy seems to be a badge of honour, it's great to meet someone who still has time to listen.
