A Is For Affectionate

It has been suggested we keep posts for the challenge "short and sweet"to give people the chance to visit plenty of participants each day...so most of mine will be only a paragraph or two.

I am an extremely affectionate person. I am what some people call touchy-feely.  I hug to say hello, I hug to say goodbye...and family members always get kisses to go with those hugs. My mother, my husband, my kids, my grandson---they all get hugs and kisses every time I see them.  I want that to be one of the things I'm remembered for when I'm gone. I want to make sure that the people I love never have reason to doubt that I loved them.

  2. A special message for the Letter 'A' and a lovely thought for a legacy....I imagine it will be so. Great quote from CS Lewis...a favorite of mine. Well done for the Letter 'A'.

  3. This is really a good reminder to show our love through touch, sometimes hard to do for those of us who aren't "huggers"

  4. <3 this! I am just like you! I love to show how much I love. And I love receiving love back in kind! *hugs*

  5. Hugging is awesome...I'm constantly hugging and squeezing my kiddos :) I think there is a real human need to be hugged and touched. Keep up the good work :)

  6. Hugging is good. Comforting. More comforting than kisses. Everyone can hug... not everyone can kiss. Nice post.

  7. Excellent! You did a much better job of keeping it short than I did!

Stopping by from the A to Z Challenge.

  8. C.S. Lewis is right! The love we show and receive makes all the difference in life. I'm a hugger, too.

  9. Hugging those that are special to us, just makes it more special. A xx

  10. Love that Lewis quote. Great to meet you through the Challenge!

  11. Physical touch is so powerful that it can heal and without it, humans shrivel and stop developing. Hugging increases mood and touch can calm. I would say you are on the right track!

  12. It's honestly the connections that we make and cherish that define us and the mark we leave. Keep up the great thoughts!

  13. Sweet and affectionate post! kept short and simple. Yes affection is very important life ingredient! Marie @ http://myeverydaypersonal.blogspot.be/

  14. Great quote! Will be back for more :)

  15. I agree with you - touch is so important, so basic to communication and relationships especially with family. Thanks for sharing this about yourself...

I knew I had read somewhere that we should keep our posts "short and sweet", I just couldn't remember and wasn't sure...here I was worrying if I wasn't writing enough!

    Regards, Mary
